Artist Jerad S. Marantz continues to lay out on his Instagram profile the concept art of the failed adaptation of the fighting game Mortal kombatover which he and the director Kevin Tancharoen worked in 2010. Recently, he showed how Sub-Ziro and Milina should have looked in their film, and now he showed Reptile to his subscribers.
In the description of the images, Maranz noted that work on the Reptile has become one of his favorite parts of the pitch tape. The artist sought a completely new, more creepy look at the character, and wanted to give him several “very cool” abilities.
Now Warner Bros. working on a new adaptation of Mortal Kombat, authored by Greg Russo and Simon McQuoyd. The tape has already been removed and will be released in March 2023.
