In the third season Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Two new operators appeared: Alex and Ronin. It turned out that the latter is based on a real soldier, and he is the first character in the series, which was modeled on the basis of a real veteran.
Ronin is based on a man named Tu Lam, who escaped from communist Vietnam in 1979 in a fishing boat. As a result, he ended up in the United States of America, where he joined the US Army and was assigned to the Special Forces detachment. Tu Lam served for 23 years and visited 27 countries before leaving the service in 2016 with the rank of master sergeant.
Retired, Lam began selling army equipment to U.S. citizens in a company called Ronin tactics. According to the veteran, the franchise Call of duty loved by military personnel who play it to boost morale.
“This is just part of the army culture. In special forces, we went on missions, and then the guys came back and played [в Call of Duty]. She is [повышает] the morale of our fighters abroad. ”
Lam visited the studio Infinity ward in Los Angeles, where the developers captured his movements to create a truly looking character model. Lam also executed the execution of Ronin, which can be seen in the game or in the video with Instagram below.
You can purchase Ronin at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for 2,400 in-game credits.
