Earthbreaker on hold – for Star Wars Empire At War 2? – review addiction

Studio Petroglyph, known for her work on the reissue Command & Conquer and Red alert, a couple of years ago, announced the “spiritual heiress Command and Conquer: Renegade“. But get to know the online game Earthbreakers we are destined not soon.
The studio has announced that work on Earthbreakers has been temporarily halted. But for a good reason: Petroglyph received an offer from a publisher some time ago. The developers were asked to take on an exciting new game, and the work required all available resources, including a significant portion of the Earthbreakers team.
Petroglyph has yet to officially announce which game it got its hands on. But earlier, the studio reported that it was negotiating a sequel. Star Wars: Empire at War… Moreover, the developers expressed their desire to continue the series back in 2018.
The fact that after categorical refusals at the beginning of 2023, the studios were still entrusted with the release of the patch for the Steam version, reinforces the theory: Electronic Arts could well decide to give new life to the classic strategy.

As planned, the deferred Earthbreakers should combine elements of a first-person shooter and real-time strategy. It was originally planned to be released in 2023, but now it is not known when we will hear about it again.
