Company Bethesda softworks published a new video from the backstage of development Doom eternal. The developers dedicated the latest video to the process of creating a soundtrack, the composer of which again performed Mick Gordon.
It was his authorship tracks that became one of the hallmarks of the previous game, so in the case of the sequel, the stakes were even higher – it took its own unique approach. So the authors came up with the idea to assemble a real heavy metal choir, and everyone was invited to participate in the recording of music. Mick Gordon’s team organized a selection of candidates, which resulted in an ensemble of 22 coolest and most versatile musicians practicing a variety of styles of heavy music. Ever heard of Mongolian metal? And there is one.
“Together with the talented sound team from id Software, Mick created a characteristic choral chorus, interwoven with a mysterious and ancient language, which dates back to the era of the Executioner of Rock. The singing is organically woven into the soundtrack and is directly connected with the lore DOOM Eternal.”
Premiere Doom eternal will be held on all announced platforms already March 20th. Version for Nintendo switch will be released later.
