Things are heating up on the Battlefield as EA DICE prepares for the “Revolution.” So far, we know that it entails a new competitive mode, with the full details to be revealed at gamescom. Last month, EA also announced the Summer Missions which was the official preparation for the “Revolution.”
“Revolution is coming. To let you get warmed up, we’ve prepared the Battlefield 1 Summer Missions,” announced EA. Those who complete all three mission earn a nexclusive melee weapon; the LVC Arditi Knife, as well as a yet unannounced special reward. EA DICE now detailed the final mission, and it requires you to complete an achievements in each of the main classes. Upon successful completion you’ll unlock the latest Revisions of each class’ Battlepack.

Assault Mission
- Objective: Get 50 000 total score
- Reward: Battlepack from the Assault Revision, including a chance to unlock The Archduke legendary skin for the Hellriegel 1915 or The Humpback skin for the 12G Automatic.
- Period to complete mission: 3-7 August
Medic Mission
- Objective: Get 50,000 total score
- Reward: Battlepack from the Medic Revision, including a chance to unlock the Blue Devil legendary skin for M1907 Selfloading or the Le Tigre skin for the RSC 1917.
- Period to complete mission: 10-14 August
Scout Mission
- Objective: Get 50,000 total score
- Reward: Battlepack from the Scout Revision, including a chance to unlock the Zulu distinguished skin for the Martini-Henry or The Devil Dog legendary skin for the M1903.
- Period to complete mission: August 17-23 August
Support Mission
- Objective: Get 50,000 total score
- Reward: Battlepack from Support Revision, including a chance to unlock The Doughboy legendary skin for the BAR M1918 or Le Flambeau legendary skin for the Chauchat.
- Period to complete mission: 24-30 August
In other Battlefield 1 news, information about Specializations details have been released and is ready for testing in the PC CTE. “Specializations are broken down into two different variants: Generic and Kit Specific. Every class has access to 7 Generic Specializations and 2 Kit Specific Specializations. All players will start with 3 Specializations by default: Flak, Cover and Quick Regen.”
Keep in mind that Battlefield 1 Specializations don’t give you more power output, but rather provide a more defined and strategic approach to combat. Below is the full list of Battlefield 1 Specializations.
Battlefield 1 Specialization – Generic
- Flak: Incoming damager from explosions is reduced by 15%
- Cover: Incoming suppression is reduced by 25%
- Quick Regen: Decrease time before Out of Combat Heal by 20%
- Quick Unspot: Decrease length of time you are Spotted by 2 seconds
- Bayonet Training: Bayonet charge lasts 1 second longer and recovers 1 second quicker
- Hasty Retreat: Increase your maximum sprint speed by 10% whilst you are Suppressed
- Camouflage: When moving slowly or stationary you are invisible to Spot Flares
Battlefield 1 Specialization – Assault
- Juggernaut: Your Gas Mask also reduces explosive damage by 15% (does stack)
- Controlled Demolition: TNT is now detonated sequentially
Battlefield 1 Specialization – Medic
- Stimulant Syringe: Reviving an ally give you both a 20% sprint speed for 8 seconds (Does not stack)
- Concealed Rescue: Downed Squad Mates within 20m drop smoke to cover their revival (40s cooldown)
Battlefield 1 Specialization – Support
- Unbreakable: Incoming suppression is reduced by 75% when your Bipod is deployed
- Pin Down: The Duration an enemy remains spotted is extended via Suppression
Battlefield 1 Specialization – Scout
- Scapegoat: A decoy is automatically deployed when struck below 35 health by a distant enemy (30s cooldown)
- Perimeter Alarm: When your Trip Mine is triggered enemies within 15m are marked on the mini-map
All above Specializations are now available for testing on the PC CTE, with console CTE testing to follow “in a not too distant future.” You can read more about the Specializations in the Reddit thread.
