10 years ago BioShock was planning a film adaptation – concept art of the canceled film appeared on the network

The artist who worked on the now canceled film BioShock, shared a selection of concept art on the failed project online.

Concept Artist and Creature Designer Jerad Marantz, whose filmography includes “Black Panther”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, “Avengers: Endgame” and many other tapes, published in his portfolio on ArtStation album with illustrations of zombie-like creatures. Although the project was never implemented beyond these concepts, images can give fans a rough idea of what a BioShock adaptation might look like if the movie had been made.

The picture was announced for development back in 2011 and was supposed to be directed by the director Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean), however, pre-production was halted that same year because the project could not find a single studio willing to invest in the production of an R-rated story.

Now 2K Games works on the next game in the BioShock series. The project is being handled by a new publishing house Cloud chamber for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The last time we heard about him was in December.
