Wargaming announced plans to release World of Tanks on Steam – we are talking about the main game. For almost 5 years now, the Valve Store has available mobile World of Tanks Blitz, but now the original will be added there.
As the developers note, due to the foundation of the project, veterans will not be able to continue playing through the new launcher – on Steam they will have to start from the very beginning. The release of the game in a well-known client is intended for beginners.
No other restrictions are expected – servers, for example, will be shared. In addition, the game will be updated directly via Steam, so you don’t have to launch an external client before each patch.
Over 600 types of transport are currently available in World of Tanks. The exact release date on Steam will be announced later.
