Windows 10 audience on Steam has grown to nearly 80% – review

There are new data on the operating systems used in Steam. After the discontinuation of support for Windows 7 began the transition of users to the “top ten.” Over the month, the share of the new OS increased to almost 80%. But the volume of the “seven”, on the contrary, fell by 7.52%.

Windows 10 audience growth was 7.58%. At the same time, an increase is also observed on macOS and Linux, but there the growth is a fraction of a percent and may be a simple statistical error or an error in rounding off the calculations.

As for other significant data for the month, we can note an increase in the share of users with video cards, whose memory is 8 GB. The share of faster CPUs, free disk space and 4K resolution also increased slightly. However, as with macOS and Linux, the data can be erroneous.

In general, it can be summarized that the increase in the number of PCs running Windows 10 continues, despite all the problems.
