Front Mission is a series of tactical RPGs about battle mechs that debuted in 1995 on Super nintendo… The main line consists of five numbered parts, the last of which came out in 2005 on Playstation 2 and did not leave Japan.
In 2009, Square Enix tried to bring the franchise back in a new format by releasing a shooter Front mission evolved, however, it was criticized by fans and journalists and flopped in sales.
Another 10 years later, Square Enix introduced an action-adventure movie Left alive with a setting in the Front Mission universe, but it also crashed – the rating on Metacritic barely reached 40 points out of 100. Read our review here…
