“The village is the highlight of the program. It is like the main character here. Therefore, we ask you to name the game exactly Resident Evil Village, and not Resident Evil 8,” the message said.
According to representatives of Capcom, the production of Resident Evil Village is currently completed at 60%. The game is due out in 2023 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
According to insider Dusk Golem, the village in Resident Evil Village is not just one of the typical linear locations for Resident Evil. This is a more open space that players can freely explore. The informant drew parallels with the worlds Dark souls from Fromsoftware.
