WHO head urges people not to panic over coronavirus and play games

Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adan Gebreisus gave advice on maintaining mental health under total quarantine due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The information was announced as part of a press briefing.

The medical functionary recalled that WHO is aware of hundreds of thousands of cases of coronavirus infection, more than nine thousand people have died. Prior to this, it was reported that the most vulnerable populations for COVID-19 are older people and children.

But Gebreisus does not advise to show the carelessness of youth, because the coronavirus poses a threat to them as well (various chronic diseases must be taken into account). In order not to panic, he recommends that the population listen to music, read books and go through video games.

“By supporting other people in your community, you are helping yourself as much as they are. Take care of your neighbors, family and friends. Compassion is also a medicine. Listen to music, read books or play games,” the statement said.
