Recently the publishing house FuRyu and studio Historia announced that they are preparing for release The caligula effect 2, the sequel to the acclaimed Japanese RPG. Now the project was presented in a special broadcast, where fragments of the gameplay were shown. And confirmed that NIS America will release the game in the West.
In the sequel The caligula effect the same artificially created world awaits us, in which people must get rid of their past troubles and regrets. However, diva X invades this serene world and brings back the memory of some schoolchildren. And now they want to escape, but for this they need to oppose the creator of the world, the virtual diva Regret, and her armies.
The role-playing game The Caligula Effect first appeared on the PlayStation Vita in 2016, and was released in the West a year later. A remake was released in 2019 The Caligula Effect: Overdose, it is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The sequel, The Caligula Effect 2, will be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this fall, with a release in Japan in June.
A limited collector’s edition is being prepared for The Caligula Effect 2, which, in addition to the usual assets, will include the Tatefushi Academy school backpack and the school pass in two copies: for the male protagonist and the female protagonist.
