“We guarantee our clients (development studios) that performance is not affected. We do this by benchmarking the game before and after applying our technology (and they also see it for themselves). Our technology wouldn’t be used by most major publishers if it wasn’t great and had an impact on the gaming experience. ”- Steve Yuin
We’re here to ensure that game studios can sell their games and recoup the investment they’ve made and then invest in the next games, but that’s not catching on with gamers. Unfortunately, people didn’t realize that deep down we are on the side of gamers (as we are gamers ourselves). ”- Steve Yuin.
Yuin noted that the company even employs former law enforcement officers and so-called white hackers.
“We have a cybersecurity team that supports publishers in identifying what breaches happened, how and who was involved. Sometimes, at the request of publishers (who, as you can imagine, don’t take it lightly when their investments are compromised by publishing hacked games), we support law enforcement around the world. ”- Steve Yuin.
Finally, when a hack does occur, the Denuvo team makes sure of its authenticity, and then begins to study it in order to understand how the game was hacked. Later the information obtained is used to improve the technology.
“Most of all, we make sure that there are no problems with the game, and if they are, we are not the cause. […] Of course, we also monitor hacks, but this is not as important as the release of games. ”- Steve Ewin.
