Watch Dogs: Legion apparently failed in 4K on Xbox Series X

Company Ubisoft recently confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion will run on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at 4K and 30 FPS with ray tracing enabled, however the game’s actual resolution may be lower than the publisher claims.

After Ubisoft released a new trailer yesterday with a first look at the version for Xbox series x, the participants of the Beyond3D forum decided to count the number of pixels in the shown frames and came to the conclusion that the project works in a resolution close to 1440p instead of 4K as the company points out

Since the analysis was based on video, for a more accurate answer, you should wait for the first technical analysis of the game, but it will not be surprising if it turns out that Watch Dogs: Legion does not really work on new consoles in native or constant 4K, given that the active use of ray tracing, as here, requires sufficient processing power.

Watch Dogs: Legion is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A version of the game for the next generation of consoles will be released 10th of November on Xbox Series X / S and 19th November on the PlayStation 5.
