Was the remaster successful? There were comparisons of the original and updated versions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

This week the long-awaited remaster was released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. However, a significant portion of the audience was disappointed with the news. Some were offended by the temporary exclusivity of the game on the PS4, while others were rejected. Sony sell a shooter in Russia, the third – the lack of multiplayer.

The initial description of the game and the first screenshots available in Playstation store. The text said that the developers improved textures and animations, and also added support for HDR lighting and physically correct rendering.

In reality, much more serious work has been done, as can be seen in the comparisons. The updated version of MW2 is very similar to the remaster MW, released in 2016. The game completely updated the character models, replaced many objects, added new effects and a lighting model, and also redesigned the environment. Animations have been improved (this can be clearly seen from the weapon models), more destructible objects appeared on the level, and so on.

In this case, the game produces a very stable 60 frames per second. As for the resolution, on the base PS4 it is 1920 by 1080 pixels, and on the Pro version – 2880 by 1620.
