After radiation contamination on the battle royale map Call of Duty: Warzone reached 100%, radiation zones appeared in Verdansk, which turn the dead players into zombies.
New radiation zones have appeared in the locations Shipwreck and Prison Complex. Upon entering the zone, the player begins to lose health, and if he dies, he will land back on the map, but already in the form of a zombie.
This mechanic works only when playing in a squad with living allies and is similar to the one used during the Haunting of Verdansk Halloween event.
Zombie players gain the ability to jump long distances, throw gas grenades, and trigger an electromagnetic pulse. After death, the zombie does not enter the GULAG, so only his allies can return the player to the map.
Recall that on the evening of April 21, Call of Duty: Warzone should begin an event that will mark the end of the second season. Due to the invasion of zombies, nuclear missiles should fall on Verdansk. After that, the map will be changed to match the 80s era from Black Ops Cold War.
