Together with the start of the second season Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone received updates that weigh from 10.5GB to 26.5GB depending on the platform.
Black Ops Cold War:
- PlayStation 5 – 18GB
- PlayStation 4 – 10.5 GB
- Xbox Series – 26.5GB
- Xbox One – 15.3GB
- PC – 13.7 GB
Warzone:
- PlayStation 5 – 17GB
- PlayStation 4 – 17GB
- Xbox Seriesv 17.9 GB
- Xbox One – 17.9GB
- PC – 16.9 GB (Warzone only) or 20.8 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)
Despite the fact that the Warzone update on PS4 weighs only 17 GB, as noted Eurogamer, to download and install it, players will need 107 GB of free disk space.
Itself Activision warns that after the release of the update, the 500 GB disk of the standard PS4 is no longer enough to install the full versions of Warzone, Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. To free up space, the publishers suggest removing unused game content.
On the PC, in turn, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone received a new update process that will reduce the size of patches and the overall growth in game file size. However, the new process includes a copy phase that requires additional disk space.
Additional copy space required:
- Warzone only – 26 GB
- Warzone and Modern Warfare – 28 GB
- Black Ops Cold War – 30.85 GB
After installing the update, the space occupied by copying will be freed up again.
