A new studio opened in Montreal – Raccoon Logic… Its founders were veterans WB Games, Ubisoft and EA, namely:
- Alex Hutchinson (Creative Director) – Known for Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed III, Spore, The Sims 2, and Army of Two: The 40th Day;
- Reed Schneider (studio head) – Batman: Arkham Origins, Batman: Arkham Knight, Army of Two, Army of Two: 40th Day, Battlefield Vietnam and the first Splinter Cell;
- Yannick Simard (technical lead) – Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2, Army of Two, Army of Two: The 40th Day and Spore Hero;
- Eric Bilodeau (Art Director) – Batman: Arkham Origins, Shawn White Skate, Far Cry 2 and Mighty Quest for Epic Loot;
- Marc-Antoine Lucier (Head of Technical Design) – Assassin’s Creed 1, Assassins Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Syberia and Myst 4.
Along with this, the studio has already received the rights to Journey to the Savage Planet – did it Typhoon Studios, which Hutchinson founded after leaving Ubisoft and bought a couple of years ago Google (and then closed it).
The main investor was the Chinese Tencent, which is also interested in buying 1C Entertainment…
