Valve breaks its own record for concurrent Steam users again

Digital distribution service Steam continues to attract more and more players. February 7 platform Valve has once again surpassed its own record for the number of concurrent users. The new peak value is 26.4 million

Over the past year, the site managed to take records for an active audience as many as six times. The repeated increase in the number of concurrent players is closely related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic around the world. The last Steam record (25.4 million) was recorded not so long ago – on January 2 this year.

In the graph below, you can clearly see how the number has changed recently:

Previously Valve already published summary statistics on Steam for 2023. In particular, last month the digital store managed to set a record for the number of active users per month (more than 120 million). As a result, the site managed to surpass the performance of Xbox Live (90 million) and PlayStation Network (107 million).

Steam is currently running winter games festival, within which gamers can appreciate over 500 demos of future novelties.
