Competitive mode and ranking of matches added to Valorant earlier this week and now they finally earned on servers in North America and Europe. At the same time, the authors reserved the right to disable them if something goes wrong.
Previously, developers have already shared the first details of the competitive mode. The authors track their personal skill level to determine when players are playing better than usual, as well as fight against the “smurfs” and “boosters”.
- To participate in the competitive mode, you need to play 20 matches without a rank.
- There are 8 ranks in total, each of them has 3 levels (with the exception of the highest rank – Valorant).
- You can play in groups of up to 5 people, the difference in rank with which does not exceed 2 ranks.
- If a player has not participated in competitive matches within the past 14 days, then the rank will not be displayed, but he will not be lowered either.
- The rank obtained during the closed beta will be reset to zero after the release of the game.
The most important factor for raising the rank was the victory in the matches, but an unusually good game will also help to quickly raise the rank. Also in competitive mode, how convincingly the players won or lost is measured.
AT Riot games note that the competitive Valorant system is still at an early stage of development, so it will still be improved.
