Ultraviolet vs. Zombies: Five Minutes of New Dying Light 2 Gameplay

Polish studio Techland published another episode of the show Dying 2 Know, dedicated to creating a game Dying Light 2: Stay Human… In particular, the developers have demonstrated one of the missions in which the hero gets into a hospital full of zombies.

The events in the sequel will unfold 20 years after the events of the original in one of the cities of Europe. The main character has to survive in a post-apocalyptic world, maneuvering between human factions and dangerous monsters.

Techland also talked about the features of the virus that turns a person into a zombie. The transformation process is activated in the dark, but it can be paused or slowed down (stages one through four) if the source of ultraviolet radiation (the sun or a lamp) is found in time.

If this is not done, the process becomes irreversible. As a result, a person finally mutates into a dangerous monster that is afraid only of ultraviolet radiation. If a zombie stays in the sun for too long, it turns into a clumsy, dried “byte”.

To track the course of the disease, the character wears a special bimetric sensor in the form of a bracelet on his hand. Actually, at the end of the demo mission, the glavger gets a useful gadget.

During the day, most zombies hide in dark places, and at night they go hunting. Therefore, it is best to enter their lairs during the dark hours of the day. The developers place great emphasis in the gameplay on the elements of stealth.

The release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human will take place on December 7, 2023 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and PS5.
