Studio The outsiders announced the freezing horror adventure Darkborn. The game may never come out. In its appeal to the fans, the company says that it was a very difficult decision, because the project was in development for four years.

Darkborn was introduced in 2016 under the code name Project wight. The action takes place in an alternative past, where the Vikings are trying to destroy some intelligent creatures. Players accept the role of the latter in attempts to survive in a cruel world.
The studio was inspired by John Gardner’s novel “Grendel, which was based on the Anglo-Saxon epic about Beowulf.
In 2019, the company Private division refused from the publication Darkborn. The reasons for the decision were not announced. But The Outsiders is already working on something else that it promises to introduce a little later.
