Ubisoft Will Support Steam Deck With Games If Valve Console Gets “Popular enough”

Ubisoft will be interested in a portable console Steam Deck, only if it turns out to be in demand enough. This was announced by the CEO of the company during the quarterly report to investors. Yves Guillemot

When asked about his thoughts on the Valve product, the head of the French publisher said the following:

“We’re thrilled to have the Steam Deck enter the industry as it shows that very innovative new devices continue to appear on the market,” he said. “We’ll keep watching and see how popular the console becomes, and if it turns out to be very popular, we can release our games on it.”

It is worth noting that Ubisoft has a fairly extensive library of games on Steam, but the number of projects released in the service has decreased in recent years. In 2019, the French publisher entered into a partnership with the Epic Games Store, making The Division 2 and a number of other games exclusive to the store.

At the same time, Yves Guillemot hopes to attract buyers to his own Ubisoft Store, offering to take advantage of the “best conditions”.
