Ubisoft sues organizers of DDoS attacks on Rainbow Six Siege servers – review

Ubisoft sued the owners of the site SNG.ONE, who provided their subscribers with services for organizing DDoS attacks on the servers of a team online shooter Rainbow six siege.

As a rule, SNG.ONE subscribers launch DDoS attacks on Rainbow Six Siege servers when they realize that the match has already been lost. Then their rivals begin to suffer from huge delays and exit the game, which allows dishonest players to avoid defeat.

In its lawsuit, Ubisoft notes that a lifetime subscription to SNG.ONE services costs $ 300, and a monthly subscription costs about $ 30. At the same time, the company attached a screenshot in which the defendants mention the server Fortnite, FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as potential goals.

According to Ubisoft, the owners of SNG.ONE are well aware of the harm that their service does to companies. In his TwitterFor an account that is no longer available, defendants even made fun of attempts by the support service to ban all organizers of DDoS attacks.

For a long time, DDoS attacks were the problem of the Rainbow Six Siege, however, in September 2019, developers began an active fight against unscrupulous players. As a result, the frequency of DDoS attacks decreased by 93%. Now Ubisoft demands to close the SNG.ONE website, as well as compensation for damage.
