June 11 users Google stadia found in the service catalog a free game called Orpheuswhich later turned out to be an early assembly Gods & monsterscreated by developers Ubisoft for internal use.
Today, the publisher confirmed the leak, noting that it occurred through the fault of the service. Ubisoft said that this version of Gods & Monsters has been around for about a year, and a fresh assembly will be presented before the end of summer. Then the game will get a new name.
“Our vision of the game, formerly known as Gods & Monsters, has changed in an amazing way that is characteristic of the development of exciting new worlds,” said Mark-Alexis Kot, Executive Director of Ubisoft Quebec.
“These shots are taken from our demonstration for E3 2019, which was shown to the press in June last year, and it has been about a year already. Since then, much has changed, including features, environments, art and character design, even the name of the game. We are working hard and will be very happy to finally show at the end of summer what we have created. ”
The Ubisoft Forward Digital Conference is scheduled for July 12th. The publisher promises the program in the best traditions of E3: exclusive news about the games, intriguing announcements and much more.

Gods & Monsters is currently under development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC. Earlier it became known that the release of the game is planned for the current fiscal year, ending in March 2023.
