Creators Total War Saga: Troy told and showed how the “historical” and “mythical” modes will differ with the release of the upcoming addition “Myths“.
Players will be able to choose three campaign options: “historical”, “semi-mythical” (lone heroes are more powerful, gods passively help in battle, and players can recruit troops similar to legendary ones) and “mythological” (gods have a direct effect on conflicts and provide additional opportunities in battle, and players can meet real monsters).
In the first case, for example, the heroes are accompanied by their own detachment, in the latter, conditional Minotaurs appear on the battlefields, and in the second, large fighters resemble, thanks to the costumes of the same Minotaurs.
The visual component of the game will also change. For example, in mythological mode, you will be able to see special places on the campaign map that are not in the historical version. As for the divine influence, during a battle, for example, you can call a large wave that will blow away the enemy troops.
All this, including monsters, including Cerberus, Griffin and Hydra, will appear in the strategy with the release of the Myths add-on on September 2.
