Transformers 7 and a complete restart of the franchise revealed

The network got new information about future projects in the well-known franchise “Transformers”. As it turned out, the creators are working on two different films, including Transformers 7 and a complete restart of the entire series.

As it became known to Gamebomb.ru, the network revealed the official plans of Paramount for future films of the Transformers series after Transformers 5: The Last Knight and Bumblebee. Insiders revealed that right now the studio is working immediately on two new films in the series that are not related to each other. At the same time, screenwriters have already been hired for two films: James Vanderbilt and Joby Harold are working on a complete restart of the franchise in the style of the old parts of Transformers, while another team of screenwriters is working on a spin-off in the Bumblebee world dedicated to one Autobot. This film can be considered as “Transformers 7”.

The latest film in the Bumblebee series was warmly received by critics and viewers, but it collected far less than the films of the classic series with Optimus Prime. Therefore, Paramount decided not only to continue the success of Bumblebee, but also to lay the foundation for the future large franchise, in which many familiar Autobots and Decepticons will return. The events of the new restart should start in the 1980s, and the updated Megatron will return as the main villain. There are no other details about future projects, including candidates for the post of director or release dates for new films, since project development is at an early stage.

The Transformers film franchise has 6 films: 5 parts of the main series and a separate spin-off of Bumblebee, the events of which develop in the past. According to Gamebomb.ru, the total franchise brought Paramount more than $ 4.5 billion, and is one of the most profitable. Apparently, the picture “Transformers 7” at best appears on the screens only by the end of 2023.
