Trailer and release date for Syberia: The World Before – Benoit Sokal’s latest game

Microids and studio Koalabs have published a new adventure trailer Syberia: The World Before with the release date of the game.

Also, in addition to the standard edition, an extended edition was announced. In the set Digital Deluxe Edition will include a digital soundtrack, an abbreviated script, as well as wallpapers, avatars and original sketches by Benoit Sokal. For pre-ordering any version, the developers will present a digital artbook.

The new Syberia will tell a story about two characters from different eras at once. Part of the plot will be devoted to pianist Dana Rose from 1937, when the threat of the fascist organization “Brown Shadows” looms over the world, and the other will unfold in 2004, where Kate Walker will have to get out of the captivity of the salt mine and go to meet new adventures in search of her identity.

Both heroines will explore the fantastic and poetic world of Benoit Sokal, solve puzzles and riddles, and reveal secrets that have remained hidden for too long. The authors promise a thoughtful and gripping storyline with interesting dialogues and unprecedented high stakes.

The World Before is the last game in the development of which he contributed Benoit Sokal… In May of this year, the legendary game designer passed away after a long illness.

The project will be released December 10 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and later in 2023 on consoles… Pre-orders are already opening.

A free playable prologue is now available on Steam and GOG.
