Earlier this week, a Polish company CD Projekt RED shared with the gaming community the news of the postponement of the release Cyberpunk 2077 for December. The negative reaction from the fans was not long in coming, and literally in the first minutes a whole wave of criticism and sarcastic comments fell upon the developers, but some of the disgruntled gamers went even further.
As reported on his personal blog Andrey Zavadsky, employees CD Projekt RED threats began to arrive – the most furious players threaten to physically harm the developers “Cyberpunk“, especially if Cyberpunk 2077 is postponed again – now to 2023.
I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame delay.
I understand you’re feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it.

“I want to clarify one point regarding the delayed release of Cyberpunk 2077. I understand that you can be angry, frustrated and freely talk about it. However, sending developers threats to life and physical health is absolutely unacceptable and wrong. We are ordinary people, just like you”.
Later, another member of the CD Projekt RED team, senior level designer of Cyberpunk 2077, joined Zavadsky’s words. Miles Toast… The specialist noted that for the authors of the game, the postponement of the release date is also a very painful, but necessary decision.…

“No one has postponed the release of the game just for the sake of a joke or to deliberately annoy you. We have devoted more than 5 years of our lives to this project, put our whole soul into it. compromises for both ourselves and our audience. Thanks for your understanding. “
