Analyst Yaroslav NS Kuznetsov made out the match between Natus vincere and Team liquid in the bottom grid of DreamLeague Leipzig Major by Dota 2. He performed the analysis of the game during a live broadcast on Twitch. According to NS, on both cards NAVI lost precisely because of their performance and poor drafts, and not because of neutral artifacts from the opponent, as some fans believe.
First card:
At the beginning of the match, Kuznetsov noted that Natus Vincere had a good peak against the Team Liquid heroes. He emphasized that Doom can effectively control Morphling through its ultimate ability.
However, Doom’s position at the start of the match was unenviable. He gave the enemy First Blood, and because of the uncomfortable lines, it was hard for him to find a farm.
Closer to the tenth minute of the match, NS drew attention to the fact that with the peak of NAVI it was inconvenient to take Roshan. At the same time, Huskar at Team Liquid copes with this task easily.
Kuznetsov did not immediately pay attention to the appearance of this artifact, but then he was very emotional.
On the 22nd minute, the first mass brawl of teams took place, which ended in favor of Team Liquid.
By the 33rd minute of the match, Team Liquid had already gained a good advantage, but the European team had problems entering the high ground. Sniper and Disruptor under the cover of Omniknight successfully defended themselves, but NAVI gave almost the entire map under the control of the opponent.
The analyst later noted that NAVI “lost the match a long time ago,” and the reason for their defeat was not the presence of Apex in the opponent. In his opinion, the match dragged on because Team Liquid players themselves couldn’t finish the game normally.
After the 70th minute, NS began a discussion of neutral fifth-level items that fell to the teams.
Kuznetsov elaborated on why Apex is so useful for Morphling and explained what the effect of Fusion Rune had.
After the end of the first map, Kuznetsov concluded that NAVI lost in the match because of their own game, and not because of neutral artifacts that fell to the opponent.
Nonetheless, NS agreed that Apex is too powerful, especially for Morphling.
Second card:
At the beginning of the second map, NS noted an unusual NAVI line layout. Kuznetsov came to the conclusion that the CIS team did not expect to see Broodmother on the mid, so urgently threw Viper to offline, and put Earthshaker in the central corridor.
But MagicaL on Earthshaker in the game looked very weak. According to the analyst, Vardanyan practically did not make an impact and did not help NAVI initiate.
Among NAVI players, Kuznetsov praised only Ilyasa illias Ganeeva and 9pasha for buying artifacts with auras.
Despite the lag, sometimes NAVI managed to hold good fights. At one point, the team could counterattack, however Vladislav Crystallize Kristanek made a mistake by missing Pounce on the hero.
Natus Vincere lost Team Liquid with the score 0: 2. The CIS team finished the tournament in 9th-12th place, earning $ 25,000 and 150 Dota Pro Circuit rating points.
DreamLeague Leipzig Major runs from January 18 to 26 in Leipzig, Germany. The teams are playing a million dollar prize pool and 15 thousand DPC points. You can follow the schedule and results of the tournament here.
