The plot of the series “Idol” will tell about the pop singer who has an affair with the mysterious owner of a club in Los Angeles and part-time the leader of a secret cult.
In addition to The Weeknd, Reza Fahim and Sam Levinson will be creators and executive producers of the series. The latter is known as the creator of the “Euphoria” show.
Mary Lowes (The Preacher, The Neon Demon) and Joseph Epstein will co-script and executive produce. Epstein will also take over the showrunner’s chair.
