The user “captured” the monitor at the airport to play on the PS4 – review

A curious incident happened at Portland International Airport in the USA. One of the passengers decided to pass the time in anticipation of his flight. To do this, he took out a PS4 console and connected it to the airport information monitor to play Apex legends. Usually this display is used to display an airport map.

Airport officials called the incident “monitor capture”, although it did not bring any particular problems. The security service asked the user to turn off the console, which he did. Although before that he politely asked if he could complete the round. But this request was denied.

A spokeswoman for the Portland airport, Kama Symonds, said the incident was a great reminder of what can and should not be done at the airport. It also indicates a very low level of cybersecurity in airport information systems.

No sanctions are reported against the player.
