Company Sony launched the production of the full-screen adaptation of the popular manga One-punch man, reports the publication Variety. Leading screenwriters will perform Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinknerwho previously worked together on the 2018 movie comic strip “Venom“. Production chairs will take Avi Arad and his son Ari Arad (“Avengers“,”Ghost in armor“).
Its existence series One-punch man started as a parody web comic by the artist ONEwho tells the story of a young guy Saitams. Tired of everyday life, Saitama decides to become a real superhero, for which he is training hard, but at some point he realizes that he has become so powerful that there are no more opponents left in the world who could challenge him at least. Thus, the newly-minted strongest hero comes to what he tried so hard to escape from – to the grayness of the most ordinary everyday life.
In 2015, the comic book got an anime series prepared by the studio. Madhouse. Last year, the anime received a second season, this time from another team – J.C. Staff. Earlier this year, One Punch Man also got a game version in the form of a fighting game. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows from Bandai namco.
According to Variety sources, Sony executives have high expectations for the upcoming film and hope that it can take a confident position in the company’s release line.
No further details of the film on One-Punch Man, including an estimated release date, are now, of course, not reported.
