Law firm Schall (Los Angeles), an investor advocate, is preparing a class action lawsuit against a Polish publishing house CD Projekt… The official press release was published on the profile portal Business Wire…
The reason for going to court was the problematic launch of the game Cyberpunk 2077… The developers are accused of violating the Stock Exchange Act of 1934 and related rule 10b-5, which was promulgated United States Securities and Exchange Commission…
It is about securities fraud. According to Schall, the management of the Polish publishing house made a number of false and misleading statements about the technical condition of Cyberpunk 2077 on “current generation consoles” Xbox and Playstation… In reality, on release, the game turned out to be almost unplayable on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 due to a huge number of bugs and other problems.
As a result Sony, Microsoft and CD Projekt itself were forced to initiate unconditional refunds to buyers. This caused great damage to the reputation of the Polish company, and investors suffered losses when the market became aware of the true state of affairs.
Schall representatives are now accepting applications for participation in the litigation from investors who purchased CD Projekt shares between January 16, 2023 and December 17, 2023. They need to contact a law firm by February 22, 2023.
Earlier it became known that a class action lawsuit against CD Projekt in the USA is also being prepared by a law firm Rosen… They plan to sue the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 in Poland.
