According to Donald Mustard, the studio’s chief creative officer Epic Games, the battle royale team and the Russo brothers worked not only on the script, storyboarding and directing of the opening cinematic, but also on the characters that will still be presented in the new season.
As a reminder, during the final crisis, Agent Jones and the Founder (one of the Seven) sealed the Epicenter in a stone tower. Before they could take control of Epicenter, it released a mysterious energy that destroyed all modern technologies in its path and changed the landscape of the island.
