The real disco: The acclaimed role-playing game Disco Elysium will receive a television adaptation

Highly rated role-playing game Disco elysium from the Estonian team ZA / UM will receive a television series adaptation, reports the publication Variety. The company will act as the production force of the project dj2 entertainmentspecializing in adaptations of various products of the gaming industry.

Universe Disco elysium based on the work of the writer and the head of the studio ZA / UM Roberta Curvitz entitled “Holy and scary fragrance“. The plot of the game is based on the literal and spiritual journey of an alcoholic cop Harry Dubois, who has not only fragments to collect his lost personality, but also along the way to try to perform difficult work – together with a colleague Kim Kitsuragi investigate a mysterious murder in a impoverished and dangerous city Revashole.

“We are incredibly pleased with the feedback Disco Elysium received and are happy to join forces with dj2 to reach new media and new audiences with the franchise,” said Helen Hindpere, one of ZA / UM’s senior screenwriters.

To date, the future series has no screenwriters, as well as any agreements with streaming platforms or television channels. Active work to find partners dj2 plans to start in the coming months.

Given that while the entire project is only in its infancy, it’s extremely premature to talk about the premiere date or even any details.
