Details of the next part of the racing simulator Gran turismo not at the moment, but it seems like in future parts of the series we will witness significant progress in terms of frame rate.
In a conversation with the press at the championship GT Sport FIA Online Championship in Sydney, the creator of the series and the head of the studio Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi emphasized that instead of increasing the permission of developers, the improvements related to the speed of work are more concerned. While Yamauchi sees using 4K more than sufficient, he would like to increase the upper bar of the frame rate from 60 to 120 or even 240 frames per second. In his opinion, it is the high frame rate, and not the number of pixels on the screen, that is able to give new impressions of the gameplay.
Yamauchi also addressed the issue of increasing the power of iron during the change of cantilever generations, noting that the hundredfold jump in performance that occurred during the transition from the original Playstation on the Playstation 2technically no longer possible. The last part of Gran Turismo at the moment is GT Sport – went exclusively to Playstation 4 in 2017.
This fall will launch Playstation 5.
