Company Nintendo published on her channel a new teaser trailer for a two-dimensional action-platformer Metroid dread… In the latest video, the authors showed snatches of memories of the ancient race of bird-like creatures Chozo, which played a key role in the plot of all 2D games in the Metroid series.
Metroid Dread kicks off immediately after Metroid Fusion, where Samus travels to the planet ZDR to investigate a cryptic signal that the X parasites are still alive. Seven EMMI robots were sent by the Galactic Federation to ZDR, but upon arrival Samus discovers that they have switched sides and now consider her an enemy. Trying to solve the mystery, the heroine must avoid detection by the EMMI and survive.
Metroid Dread is developed by the studio MercurySteamresponsible for Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS. The project will be released 8th October exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
