However, you often want to rewind a boring introduction to get right to the bottom of the video. Soon it can be made much easier. As reported Android Police, the service tests the transition to “bookmarks” or “chapters”.
Names in the form of pop-up text will appear on the timeline, which will allow you to quickly go through the “chapters”. Initially, such a breakdown will have to be done by the authors of the video, but then it will be done automatically. This is likely to involve AI.
This feature was found in the YouTube mobile app version 15.14.33, but it is currently only available on some accounts. Therefore, it is not clear how soon the opportunity will become available to everyone.
