The Last of Us: Part II is no longer the biggest launch of the year in the UK – it was beaten by another game

Football simulator FIFA 21 expectedly started at the first line of the British charts. Sales of the game were 42% lower compared to last year’s game, but even with this, the novelty EA Sports showed the largest launch of the year in the country so far, bypassing The Last of Us: Part II and Animal Crossing: New Horizon

Analysts point out that the drop in FIFA 21 sales concerns only retail and is partly due to the increase in the share of the digital segment. It could also be affected by the upcoming launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, due to which not everyone decided to take the game for current consoles.

Another recent EA release is aerospace action Star Wars: Squadrons – lost 55% of the initial retail circulation in the second week, but kept the second line of the rating, while the game continues to be a hit in the digital world. Launched with him Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About dropped from first place to third.

Below, five of the seven lines at once occupied the games for Switch: Animal Crossing: New Horizons (# 4), Super Mario 3D All-Stars (# 5), Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (# 6), Minecraft (# 7) and Ring Fit Adventure (# 10).
