The horrors of war through the eyes of a child: Russian developers presented the game Torn Away about the Second world war

Company Nordcurrent and Russian studio perelesoq presented the game Torn away, which is designed to reveal the theme of the Second World War in a new way – without violence. The developers promise to touch on a complex topic with a unique perspective, soulful plot, beautiful visuals and touching music. In the center of the story is a little girl named Asya.

“The story of Torn Away unfolds in a world mired in cruelty. Europe is engulfed in flames of World War II, which managed to destroy more than one life. And now it is Asya’s turn, an ordinary ten-year-old girl torn from home. Like millions of other people, she is destined to become an ostarbeiter. – a faceless labor camp worker. In these dark times, Asya has to find a ray of hope that will help to endure all the burdens and find freedom. At the first opportunity, the girl escapes and heads east. She will cross all of Germany and Poland to get to Russia and return home “, – says the official description.

The developers emphasize that the heroine does not resort to violence during her journey.… She hides from soldiers, endures adversity, seeks shelter and finds food.

“In this war-torn world, Asya must survive and not lose her humanity.”

According to a press release, the plot of Torn Away is based on real diaries from the Second World War, depicting the war through the eyes of a child.
