The Chinese are a wonderful purposeful people who are able to do almost anything for the sake of what they desire, whether it’s working 18 hours a day to feed themselves and their family, daily mastering useless skills for the video in Tiktok or … taking a loan to collect a rare collection of items in a video game.
A resident of China really wanted to collect such a collection in the shareware MMORPG Tales of Wind, so he decided on desperate measures: take a loan from the bank. As a result, the player spent more than $ 15,000 on lootboxes, but did not get what he wanted – the thing he needed simply did not fall out. By the way, he was also unable to return the money to the bank on time. The last hope of the Chinese was to file a lawsuit in which the player accused the developers of Tales of Wind of misleading him.
Of course, the lawsuit was rejected – the last straw that the news hero clung to was cut short. No wonder that this led him to depression, because of which the player ended up in a psychiatric hospital and is currently undergoing appropriate treatment.
