As noted above, Famitsu claims that stores have implemented everything they received from Microsoft. Moreover, some points of sale even arranged lotteries with the right to buy Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, albeit on a smaller scale than the PlayStation 5.
Xbox One debuted in Japan in 2014 with sales of 24,000 consoles, but then no sold-outs were recorded – in the debut week and after that, the successor to the Xbox 360 was freely available.
Biggest Initial Sales of Microsoft Systems in Japan Shows First Xbox (but in general terms, the absolute leader by a wide margin is the Xbox 360):
