The Creators of MotoGP 21: Xbox Series S Doesn’t Hinder Development

Xbox series s divided the gaming community not only among fans and gamers, but also representatives of the industry. Some developers believe that the console’s less powerful hardware compared to the Xbox Series X and PS5 will complicate the development of new games and create problems in the future, while others do not see this as a major obstacle.

Although the full picture will only become clear in a couple of years, when the studios completely switch to creating projects exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PCs, now the release of crossgen titles allows developers to get at least a rough idea of what to expect from the Xbox Series S in the future. Italian team Milestone, for example, did not face any difficulties while developing MotoGP 21 for the junior nextgen console Microsoft

In an interview with WCCFTech, the producer of the racing simulator Matteo Pezzotti said that the studio did not experience any problems in the process of working with weaker hardware, but on the contrary was surprised by the convenience of optimization for both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S… The latter, according to Pezzotti, is aimed at MotoGP 21 at a dynamic resolution of 1440p and 60 frames per second.

Again, it should be borne in mind that MotoGP 21 is a crossgene title, where one of the weakest platforms is the old one. Xbox one sso it’s not surprising that porting the game to the Xbox Series S was easy for Milestone.

MotoGP 21 will be released on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC April 22nd
