Studio Creepy jar continues to build on the success of his tropical survivalist Green hell… And the next step looks unexpected, although it is in the spirit of the times: the developers have planned a board game Green Hell: The Board Game…
In the tabletop adaptation, we have to go in search of Jack Higgins, the missing video game hero in the Amazon. Players will have to lead a search and rescue squad consisting of specialists with special skills: guide, medic, scientist, survival expert.
Thanks to the modular design of the map, every journey will be unpredictable. But the board will retain a number of the original Green Hell mechanics: backpack management, building, resource gathering, survival, and crafting. They will collect money for adaptation through Kickstarter…
The work on the board game was entrusted to the Warsaw studio Galaktus Games, which has so far been remembered only as a loud failure. The developers took up the adaptation of a turn-based strategy Phantom Doctrine, which brought huge losses to its creators, because of what CreativeForge almost closed.
The game, which almost ruined its studio, performed the same way in a new incarnation: the Kickstarter campaign of the board game Phantom Doctrine: Espionage Board Game had to be canceled. In less than a month, she raised less than six thousand dollars instead of 67 thousand.
