The authors of Valorant talked about the upcoming changes in the punishment system – Igromania

The authors Valorant talked about the upcoming changes to the punishment system, which will be introduced in the next patches.

The developers have reworked the punishment system for AFK so as not to punish players when their internet goes offline. To do this, they will monitor the behavior of players for some time in order to identify malicious violators, who may even be banned.

Also, the authors added text moderation of the chat for more than 11 languages, and also reworked the system of penalties for inappropriate behavior in the chat. Penalties are increased both by the frequency and by the severity of the violations.

Presumably, with the release of patch 2.04, players with limited communication will not be allowed into ranked play.

In addition, the developers will add a system for responding to complaints, and the above detection methods and types of punishments will also be applied for violations in the voice chat.

In the future, the authors will focus on the reward system for decent behavior, add the ability to invite players to a match only by Riot ID and the ability to watch new allies play before adding them to the friends list.
