Remake Authors Resident evil 3 of Capcom published a video with a summary of the plot of the previous parts of the series. The video contains spoilers for Resident evil 0, Resident evil and Resident evil 2.

The video tells about the metropolis of Raccoon City, where the pharmaceutical corporation Umbrella is located. It all started with a series of strange murders with signs of cannibalism on the outskirts of the city. To investigate, the police department sends a detachment of elite special forces S.T.A.R.S., but their helicopter crashes.

Team members survive an emergency landing, but discover a military police car whose passengers were brutally killed. Bravo Detachment sets off in search of the only suspect – a prisoner and a former Marine.

Due to the lack of communication with the Bravo detachment, the second detachment, Alpha, is sent to the helicopter crash site. Its members are attacked by mutated dogs, from which they hide in a mansion nearby. There they discover the living dead, and later find out that zombies have become a byproduct of biological weapons developed by Umbrella Corporation.

In the end, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and the surviving members of S.T.A.R.S. promise to unveil the dark secrets of Umbrella together.

Two months later, a biological weapon leaks in a research laboratory near Raccoon City. Police officer Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who is looking for her missing brother Chris, are sent to the city on the first day of service. Together they discover the streets of the metropolis, which are filled with the living dead.

However, the day before their arrival, Jill Valentine, the main character of the remake of Resident Evil 3, who continues her investigation, meets Nemesis, a new type of biological weapon Umbrella. His goal is to destroy all remaining members of S.T.A.R.S.
