Independent studio Outermindsknown for games PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator and PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist, announced her new project. Metroidvania Turbo Kid based on the Canadian film “Turbo kid“Released in 2015.
The action of the vintage action movie “Turbo Boy” takes place in the alternate year 1997, after the apocalypse, when drinking water becomes the main value. The protagonist, a teenager from the wasteland, engages in battle with the local leader to free the kidnapped girl.
The creators of Turbo Kid promise that the game will broadly repeat the plot and attributes of the film, as it collaborates with its crew. Players will have to fight their way into the villain’s lair, overcoming obstacles on a bike and on foot, fighting enemies and discovering secrets.
The game is due out in 2023, but the list of supported platforms has not yet been announced.
