The authors of Apex Legends created a fake hero to surprise players

It turns out the charades around the new legend of the fourth season Apex legends were associated with the desire of developers not only to mock leaks through the game files, but also to surprise the audience.
Back in January, the first images of the Forge appeared – the supposedly new hero of the game. The developers even played along when, with the announcement of the next season, they published brief information about Jimmy “Forge” McCormick on the shooter’s official website.
However, 5 days after this character was killed, after which it became clear that someone else would be the hero. Most likely, his killer is Revenant. In general, it turned out that way.
To be honest, it began as a fun way to send the miners who were sure that they had figured out our next legend and ruined the surprises, onto the false trail.

The developers deliberately merged more information about the fake hero in patches, so that during the announcement it was clear where the legs were coming from.
