As you approach the cherished date of the presentation Playstation 5 on the network, cases of fake publications appearing to be real leaks of the appearance of the console are beginning to increase. Not a week has passed since Exposing the “Cruciform” PS5 Designlike someone under a nickname Obby 1 uploaded to YouTube video demonstrating the launch of the new system. In a short clip, the console’s start screen and the console in a black rectangular case with a beveled side edge and a light strip on the top panel were lit.
Suspicions that we are facing a fake appeared almost immediately. Users drew attention to the boot screen with the command line, in which they mentioned the mention of “Orbis OS” and “VMware SATA”. The first is the name of the OS used in the PS4, and the second indicates that the system was installed on a virtual machine. In addition, doubts about the credibility of the leak were caused by the console’s start screen itself: the name of the PlayStation 5 in it was shifted to the right for some reason, and the Google Play store logo had an old design.
Now, all all suspicions of fakeness have finally been confirmed. Yutuber, who uploaded the original video, published a second video in which he showed how he created the start screen and the console render, and then superimposed the resulting three-dimensional model on the captured desktop recording.
Before this, the news about the “possible first look at the PS5” managed to fly around the world.
It turned out realistic, but still it is a fake and probably not the last one.
